Colquitt Regional Medical Center receives 2023 Press Ganey Pinnacle of Excellence Award

MOULTRIE, Ga. – Colquitt Regional has once again proven its unwavering dedication to patient-centered care and unparalleled service.

The hospital has received the prestigious 2023 Press Ganey Pinnacle of Excellence Award. This accolade places Colquitt Regional in the top five percent of healthcare providers for consistently delivering exceptional patient experiences over a minimum of two years.

“The Pinnacle of Excellence Award from Press Ganey is a prestigious award that is given out this year to only seven facilities. This award is given in regards to physician engagement, physician alignment with those goals. Essentially, how happy your health care providers are to be working at that organization, how happy they are to be caring for that community,” said Dr. Michael Brown, Chief Medical Officer, Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

“I think excellence is something people deserve. And, just because people access care in a rural setting, they shouldn’t get less than excellent care. Mediocrity is not a word that we lack around here. We set for excellence in everything we do, so that every time a patient walks through the door, they get the best practices. No matter where they go, it’s available here at Colquitt Regional Medical Center,” said Jimmy Lee Matney, Chief Executive Officer, Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Colquitt Regional secured the Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award in 2022, and their commitment to sustain excellence throughout the year has propelled them to receiving the Pinnacle Award.

“The Pinnacle Award is important to us, because in the rural areas, sometimes it’s difficult to recruit physicians. But, if you see that 95% of your physicians says, they believe that that we practice in here at this hospital for years to come, that’s great for the community and that’s great for patients. So, it helps us with physician recruitment, retention, and overall is a great formula for success,” said Matney.

“One of the amazing things for physicians who work at this organization is that they feel that they are heard. Physicians are heard by the administrative team. They are heard by our board. And, we make sure as an organization that we are going to provide what is necessary so that we can provide the best care for our community,” said Dr. Brown.
