Colquitt-Miller County Chamber hosts ‘Freedom Fest’ at ‘Picnic at the Park’

COLQUITT, Ga. – Colquitt-Miller County Chamber of Commerce welcomes everyone to celebrate the 4th of July.
Sunday, July 2, Colquitt-Miller County Chamber of Commerce celebrated Independence Day with a ‘Freedom Fest’ Picnic at the Park.
The event was of free admission for everyone and there were food trucks, music, and inflatables for the youth to enjoy.
Junior Miss Colquitt 2023, Ellie Merle Smith, talks about what she’s loves the most about celebrating the 4th of July with her community.
“My favorite part about all these little get togethers for our hometown of Colquitt, Georgia has to be the community coming out. Just everyone coming here having a great time,” said Ellie Merle Smith, Junior Miss Colquitt 2023.
The evening was certainly filled with fellowship and fun, as there were smiles spread all around the freedom fest from the Colquitt community.
Miss Colquitt 2023, Saige Joy Sheffield, talks about what makes Colquitt special.
“What makes our town, Colquitt Georgia, special is that it has one of largest murals in the nation and one thing that I love about my community is that they’re loving and caring,” said Saige Sheffield, Miss Colquitt 2023.
