Colquitt Co. moped driver involved in hit and run

MOULTRIE, Ga. – We begin this afternoon on a somber note… Last night at around 9:30 pm, a moped driver was struck by what is believed to be a White 2016-2019 GMC or Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck on Veterans Parkway North, near the Southern Regional Technical College campus.

The vehicle fled the scene, heading north toward Doerun. The moped driver is currently in critical condition with head and brain injuries.

The Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office and Georgia State Patrol are requesting any information or leads the public may have about the person or vehicle involved in the incident.
