Coastal Plain Regional Library relaunches “Library Everywhere” campaign
TIFTON, Ga. – The Coastal Plain Regional Library in Tifton is relaunching its “Library Everywhere” campaign that will grant access to books and technology to neighborhoods around south Georgia.
“Realizing just how important it was for people to still have access to library services cause it’s not just books it’s internet access, using computers, it’s printing and copying it’s all of those things,” said Allison Young, Outreach Services Coordinator.
“Library Everywhere” is geared toward both children and adults.
“We try to bring materials for all ages, we tailor it as we learn who using the site most,” said Young.
This campaign gives citizens of the community the choice to choose what books or equipment meets their wants and needs.
“It just depends on what folks ask for, some of the sites folks ask for more like murder mysteries, some folks have asked for western, some ask for Bible study so it just depends on what folks ask for,” said Young.
You also don’t need a library card to partake in any books or technology available at “Library Everywhere.”
“To borrow the materials and take them home you do otherwise just to sit there and use the computer, to make copies, to have something notarized, taking seeds from the seed library you do not,” said Young.
Cities that “Library Everywhere” will be visiting include…
“Alapaha, we’re in Mystic, the new site is going to be in Ty Ty, we’re in Rebecca, Sycamore, Fitzgerald, Lenox, and Sparks,” said Young.
Mobile services will begin October 19th.
