Clayton Homes of Tifton cuts ribbon to provide affordable energy efficient housing

TIFTON, Ga. – The City of Tifton makes an addition to its housing landscape with Clayton Homes.

Clayton Homes hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the grand opening of its new location in The Friendly City.

“Clayton Homes is part of Berkshire Hathaway. We have been in business for a long time and you know, our mission is to provide affordable housing and open doors for families all across the country to help them have a better life,” said Michael Hagood, Clayton Homes FL-GA Regional Vice President.

This marks Clayton Homes’ first venture into Tifton, introducing a variety of new housing options to the community.

“Yeah, we’re really excited to be in Tifton, Georgia. This is a great area. Great people. We’ve got a great team that is from Tifton, from this area. We’re really excited to help a lot of families here. We haven’t been in Tifton, you know, as a retailer or manufacturer. So, we’re really excited to come in and try to help as many people as we can in the local area,” said Hagood.

Tifton residents had the chance to meet clayton homes staff, tour the facility, and learn more about the housing options and services the company provides.

“We specialize in energy efficient housing. So, we have our e-build homes, energy smart zero is our brand for our energy efficient houses. And, our goal is to really provide the most energy efficient houses we can, a high quality home that’s going to be low maintenance and easy for people to live in and really be affordable for the long run, to be affordable on those monthly bills, those monthly energy payments. That’s really our top priority,” said Hagood.

Clayton Homes of Tifton, Georgia, will celebrate its grand opening from November 21st to the 23rd. The festivities will include food trucks and inflatables on-site throughout the day on November 23rd.

“A customer can come in and have not really even started the home buying process and we can help them from start to finish. We have partners on the lending side. We have partners with homeowners insurance. We have partners with set up and delivery and site prep, lots of options for customers to choose from. And, we’ll do as much or as little as somebody wants us to, but we really can help them from start to finish on the whole homebuying process,” said Hagood.
