Citywide Job Fair hosted at the Albany Civic Center
ALBANY, Ga. – The City of Albany is bridging the gap between eager job seekers and diverse employment opportunities as the city hosts a community job fair.
All residents of the Good Life City were invited to participate in the Citywide Job Fair hosted at the Albany Civic Center.
Various departments, including Transit, the Albany Police Department, Albany Fire Department, Utility Operations, Recreation and Parks, and more, showcased open positions.
No appointments were required, allowing everyone to engage directly with department representatives, who guided them through the application process. Participants seized the chance for on-the-spot interviews and gained valuable insights into the departments they sought interest in.
The positions featured in this job fair offer a comprehensive package of benefits and incentives, including medical insurance, access to on-site health and wellness clinic, educational reimbursement, and a range of additional perks.
Breanna Nixon, the Human Resources Manager responsible for Workers’ Compensation and Recruitment, provides more information on the essential steps following the job application submission.
“Once you apply for your job, you can come and talk to these departments. They can do a job interviewing and then set up an official interview if they feel that you’re qualified for the position,” said Breanna Nixon, Human Resource Manager/Worker’s Comp & Recruitment.
For those unable to attend the job fair, there’s no need to worry, as these positions remain open for application.
“If you cannot come today, that’s still fine, because you can apply for these jobs 24 hours a day. You can go to albanyga.gov, go to the employment portal and then all of our jobs will be listed there,” said Nixon.
