City to Transition Traffic Lights at Roosevelt Railroad Crossing

ALBANY, Ga. – On Tuesday, June 11, 2024, beginning at 9 a.m., the City of Albany will transition the five traffic signals at the Roosevelt Avenue railroad crossing from an ALL RED FLASH operation to a standard red, yellow, and green operation.

Important Safety Information for Drivers:
• Red flashing lights: STOP before proceeding.
• Green light safety tip: Wait three seconds after the light turns green before moving through the intersection. This precaution, recommended by driving safety organizations and insurance companies, helps prevent accidents.
