City of Tifton announces resignation of former City Manager Jeff Shoobridge and calls special meeting to approve transition plan Thursday

TIFTON, Ga. – The City of Tifton is announcing the resignation of former City Manager Jeff Shoobridge effective Monday, February 9th, 2026.

Shoobridge joined the City of Tifton in October 2025. The City of Tifton thanks Shoobridge for his service and leadership and wishes him all the best in his future endeavors.

The City of Tifton has a transition plan compiled and has announced a special-called meeting on Thursday, February 12th to formally approve the appointments.

Notification will be sent announcing Council’s decisions immediately following Thursday’s special-called meeting.
