Chehaw Park & Zoo’s Winter Break Camp “Uniquely Wild” offers hands-on wildlife and conservation experiences

December 24, 2025
Matthew Crumley,

ALBANY, Ga. – Families looking for a fun and educational way to keep children engaged during winter break still have time to sign up for Chehaw Park & Zoo’s Winter Break Camp, known as “Uniquely Wild.”

Designed for children ages 5 to 12, the camp offers hands-on learning experiences centered around wildlife and conservation. Each day includes animal encounters, interactive activities, crafts, games, and a daily trip to the zoo, giving campers a chance to learn while exploring Chehaw’s unique natural environment.

Remaining camp dates include December 29-31, 2025, and January 5, 2026. Daily drop-off is available from 8:30 to 9 a.m., with pick-up scheduled between 3 and 3:30 p.m. An after camp care option is also available from 3 to 6 p.m. for families needing extended care.

The cost is $100 for a full session or $38 per day. Chehaw members receive a 10% discount on camp sessions and half-price after camp care. Space is limited, and organizers encourage parents to register as soon as possible.

Registration is available online through Chehaw Park & Zoo. For additional information, families can contact Chehaw at 229-430-5275, email AKelly@chehaw.org, or visit chehaw.org.
