Celebration of Lights Christmas Parade postponed due to weather

ALBANY, Ga. – We regret to announce the 33rd Annual Celebration of Lights Christmas Parade, originally slated for Saturday, December 2, has been postponed to Saturday, December 9.

According to the latest forecast, heavy rain and potential thunderstorms are likely throughout the afternoon and evening.

It is important to note that all aspects of the celebration, including its location and scheduled time, will remain unaltered.

The Christmas village will open at 4 p.m. on Jackson Street, north of Pine Avenue. Live entertainment starts at 4:45 p.m. in front of the Government Building at 222 Pine Avenue. The parade lineup is set to commence at 724 Pine Avenue near Wesco Distribution and proceed down Pine to Washington Street.
