CBS 44 Weather Authority Forecast: March 15, 2023

Freeze warning again tonight for much of SWGA and a frost advisory for rest of the area until 9 am Thursday. More areas will reach the freezing mark with ideal radiational cooling conditions clear skies and calm winds. Moisture increases leading to better frost formation by tomorrow morning. Protect those sensitive plants by covering them up, or bringing them indoors. Rain and possibly thunderstorms become likely by late St. Patrick’s Day. There is a marginal risk (level 1/5) for severe weather at this time. Then, temperatures will drop below seasonal levels for the weekend into early next week. Spring begins on Monday, March 20, 2023 with the Vernal Equinox at 5:24 pm EDT. Rain chances return next Tuesday with temperatures below average.
