CBS 44 Weather Authority Forecast: September 10, 2024

Francine forecast to make landfall as a high end Category 1 hurricane on Wednesday afternoon along Louisiana coast. Indirect peripheral impacts will extend eastward to include portions of SWGA late Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Locally heavy rainfall with a Marginal Risk of flash flooding and a Marginal Risk of isolated brief tropical tornadoes. Rainfall totals will average 1″-1.5″ or less, but higher totals exceeding 2″ are possible in heavier outer rain bands. Rain chances are more scattered in nature this weekend.
