CBS 44 Weather Authority Forecast: May 15, 2023
Rain chances on the rise thru midweek
Mother’s day weekend was very warm and relatively dry with only a few showers and thunderstorms around. Yesterday’s high was 93 which is the hottest day of 2023 so far. Today, was cooler at 90 degrees lower than the 96 degree record high set just last year. Muggy air mass remains in place and a weak front will enter the area the next couple of days eventually becoming stationary Wednesday-Thursday which will be our wettest days. Heavy rainfall is a possibility from training thunderstorms moving over the same areas. Flash flooding will be possible. Scattered thunderstorms on Friday but not as widespread as the previous days. This takes us into the weekend with less humid, drier conditions and comfortable temperatures actually near average in the low 60s and mid 80s.
