CBS 44 Weather Authority Forecast: May 12, 2023

Lower rain chances & hotter for Mother's day weekend

Another active evening with actually a good coverage of showers and thunderstorms. Some of them could produce locally torrential downpours that could lead to flash flooding and a pulse strong to severe storm with gusty to damaging winds and hail cannot be ruled out. Lower rain chances to more isolated variety on Saturday. Mother’s Day most of the day should be fine but hot for mom out there in the low-90’s. By the late afternoon and evening rain becomes widely scattered focused by possibly another backdoor frontal boundary or upper disturbance. Typical summer-like pattern returns for much of next week with the best rain chances by the middle portion of it.
