CBS 44 Weather Authority Forecast: March 24, 2023
Happy Friday! We’ll start out the weekend with patchy to widespread dense fog Saturday morning. A front will move in during the afternoon with a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms. There is a marginal risk of severe storms. A few storms may become strong to severe with damaging wind gusts, hail, and possibly a brief tornado. The marginal risk holds on Sunday as the frontal zone sets up somewhere over our area. Rainfall totals will average 0.50″-1″ on average through the weekend, but an additional 2″-3″+ is possible early next week as moisture remains entrenched across the area. Drier and cooler temperatures follows by midweek next week before the warmer weather returns late next week.
