CBS 44 Weather Authority Forecast: June 8, 2023
Drier and hotter!
Another hazy and seasonably hot day with not many showers to cool us off. The dry air aloft seems to be winning out despite the higher humidity south of the approaching frontal boundary from the north. The sea breeze has also struggled to push in from northern Florida this afternoon. Friday expect lower humidity, partly cloudy skies, some haze from the leftovers of Canadian smoke and seasonal temperatures around 90. Even warmer this weekend in the low 90s with an isolated shower or thunderstorm. Rain and thunderstorms likely on Monday. Temperatures heat up into the middle 90s by midweek, but the heat wave may not last long with thunderstorms becoming likely as “ridge riders” or complexes of thunderstorms move in from the north later next week.
