CBS 44 Weather Authority Forecast: June 6, 2023
Better rain chances!
A few of us saw some showers generated by the Gulf Coast sea breeze this afternoon. It has also been the first day Albany, GA has reached 90 since May 15. We actually have topped out at 92. More of the same tomorrow with temperatures in the low 90s and isolated showers and thunderstorms. A better coverage of rain and thunderstorms Thursday along with a marginal risk for isolated strong to severe thunderstorms as a frontal boundary sinks south. That front may also bring down some of the leftover smoke dispersed from the Canadian wildfires, but not expecting any major air quality or health concerns unlike areas to our north. Hazy skies may linger into Friday and Saturday as drier air works in. Better rain chances return late in the weekend into early next week, followed by hotter temperatures as the season’s first heatwave gets underway over Texas. That may play a role in the temperatures mid-late next week.
