Tropical Storm Arlene named to fizzle in the Gulf, Isolated showers this weekend

As of Friday afternoon, Air Force Hurricane Hunters found that T.D. # 2 has become the season’s first named storm, Tropical Storm Arlene. No change to the forecast as Arlene weakens soon as it encounters dry air and wind shear. We’re still dealing with breezy conditions from gradient winds tied to the low pressure to the south and high pressure to the north. Partly cloudy skies hold this weekend with a slight chance of showers. Near average temperatures in the upper 80s-around 90. Warmer next week in the lower 90s. Better rain chances arrive by midweek as the sea breeze interacts with an approaching front.
