Breezy easterly to northeasterly winds hold for one more day or two. Summer begins on Thursday, June 20th with Summer Solstice at 4:51 pm. Tropical Wave passes through the area on Friday with a better surge of moisture. Rain chances gradually increase especially by the weekend into early next week with hotter temperatures and more humid conditions. Tropical Storm Alberto has formed over the Gulf of Mexico, expected to make landfall along the coast of eastern Mexico on Thursday as tropical storm-force winds, coastal and inland flooding, and high seas and rip currents affect the northwestern Gulf coast.
