CBS 44 Weather Authority Forecast: January 3, 2024
The storm train is lined up, folks! Storm #1 light rain, and possibly a few sleet pellets mixed in, gradually comes to an end by early evening. Sunny and colder Thursday and Friday. Storm #2 in CA into Rockies to get enhancement from subtropical jet stream to impact us first half of weekend. Rain arrives Friday night then becoming breezy with a round of thunderstorms possible on Saturday. Cloudy and cool Sunday. Rain arrives and turning windy Monday night. Storm #3 the strongest of the 3 near the Aleutian Islands, Alaska may be a significant severe weather maker on Tuesday. This one has the potential for a squall line of strong to severe thunderstorms including damaging winds and tornadoes. Rainfall totals over the next 7 days around 2″-4″ but up to 4″-6″ with flash flooding possible.
