CBS 44 Weather Authority Forecast: January 22, 2025
Historic Snowfall Accumulation over the past 24-48 hours in SWGA. 2″-4″ measured in most areas while others were buried in a whopping 6″-9″. The wintry precipitation has ended, but temperatures won’t warm much above freezing today with most of the snowpack to remain in place this afternoon. Travel will remain treacherous as road conditions remain slippery and hazardous from refreeze of icy surfaces such as bridges and overpasses into Thursday. Extreme cold alerts remain in effect for wind chills in the single digits and sub-freezing lows in the teens.
