CBS 44 Weather Authority Forecast: January 2, 2024

Another night of freezing temperatures with increasing clouds Wednesday morning. Active weather pattern is ahead! We have at least 3 storm systems to impact us over the next 7 days. #1 arrives with rain showers tomorrow afternoon becoming a light to moderate steady rainfall Wednesday evening into the overnight. Another surge of drier but colder air for Thursday and Friday with mornings near freezing and afternoons seasonably cool in the upper 50s to low 60s. #2 is a weekend weather maker with windy conditions on Saturday. Heavy rainfall and isolated strong thunderstorms will be possible. Cloudy and cool most of the day Sunday. Rain returns late Monday PM with #3 a stronger, more potent storm system arriving on Tuesday. This one has the potential for a squall line of strong to severe thunderstorms including damaging winds and tornadoes. Rainfall totals over the next 7 days may exceed 4″-6″ with flash flooding possible. Stay tuned for updates!
