CBS 44 Weather Authority Forecast: January 18, 2024
Passing rain showers later tonight mainly after midnight towards sunrise. Rainfall totals very light, a few hundredths of inch at best. Arctic front passes thru Friday morning. Breezy northwesterly winds 10-15 mph and gusts up to 25 mph with gradual clearing skies. Temperatures plummet Saturday morning, but elevated winds may keep most of area from reaching hard freeze criteria by a couple degrees on Saturday morning, but still very cold as wind chills drop into low-mid teens. A different story Sunday morning with a widespread hard freeze and a few spots in upper teens. Warm up takes over with about a 10 degree rise in temperature each day. Mid 70s by midweek with scattered rain and thunderstorms.
