CBS 44 Weather Authority Forecast: February 12, 2024

Flooding rainfall from today has ended. While the rainfall has ended some roads may still be closed or covered with water. Turn Around, Don’t Drown! It’s harder to recognize the dangers of flooding at night before the waters recede. Most received 1″-3″ but a swath of a half a foot >6″ or more fell over portions of Calhoun, Terrell, and Lee counties with as much as 9″ for Early county and some of the totals may be underestimated. There will be a rise on area rivers, creeks, and streams in the coming days particularly those prone to rising water and from flows downstream from middle Georgia. Gradually improving conditions with full sunshine returning Tuesday afternoon. It’ll be a seasonably cool day in the upper 50s to near 60. Mid 30s Valentine’s Day morning with areas of patchy frost. Warming trend gets underway the rest of the week. Next weathermaker arrives on Saturday with rain likely. Drier and cooler for President’s Day.
