CBS 44 Weather Authority Forecast: December 22, 2023

Milder air mass takes hold through holiday weekend. Dry & near 70 Sat & on Christmas Eve. Rain chances arrive Christmas Eve night-Christmas Day AM. Santa & Rudolph’s nose will be getting a workout in the wet & possible foggy conditions. Breezy with rain & possibly a t’storm. Rain chances decrease Tuesday AM. Rainfall totals around 1″-2″. There is a slight risk for potential flash flooding in far southwestern counties. Much colder air arrives midweek. Below average temperatures for the extended period with several freezes expected for New Year’s weekend. Below freezing temperatures are possible. Much uncertainty in severity of cold, but perhaps the season’s first hard freeze may be on the table which we haven’t had yet this meteorological winter.
