Winter arrives with solstice at 4:20 am. It’s the shortest day of the year in Northern Hemisphere. Widespread frost with at or near freezing temperatures the next three mornings of new season through Christmas Eve. Warmer and wetter Christmas Day with scattered rain showers. Above average temperatures for the weekend into New Year’s. Much colder air then follows into early 2025.
