CBS 44 Weather Authority Forecast: April 25, 2024
Smoke from prescribed burning in the Apalachicola National Forest in Florida has made its way into SWGA. A southerly wind and an inversion (cool air at surface, warm air aloft) this morning has resulted in hazy skies and poor air quality for sensitive groups. The dispersion of smoke away from the area on Saturday will help gradually improve conditions. Warmth builds and humidity increases for the end of week. Above average temperatures this weekend into early next week. Typical dry conditions holds. Near 90° first days of May.
