Rain chances increase on Thursday

Nice weather Wednesday. Rain chances increase on Thursday as the Gulf low pressure system meanders over Louisiana coast with bands of rain and thunderstorms. There is a marginal risk of a few stronger storms with gusty winds, torrential downpours, and even a low chance of a brief tornado. Scattered thunderstorms remain possible on Friday. Drier Saturday as temperatures reach the low-mid 80’s. Rain chances return on Sunday as a cold front passes through. Slightly cooler followed by a gradual moderation in temperatures later next week.
