Body found in Terrell County identified, officials continue to investigate

TERRELL Co., Ga. – Investigators continue to investigate after a body was discovered in Terrell County near the Lee County line.

The body was later identified as 17-year-old female Amanda Contreras as the person found deceased on Monday, December 29th.

Contreras was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound on Wadsworth Road in Terrell County.

Contreras’ body will be sent to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy.
