Body discovered at Marsh Landing apartment complex

ALBANY, Ga. – A grounds maintenance worker discovered a body on the property of the Marsh Landing apartment complex.

The grounds maintenance worker was mowing grass when he found the body near a pond behind the apartments.

The body had a gunshot wound to the head, according to Dougherty County Coroner Michael Fowler.

Coroner Fowler confirmed the person whose body was found to be a resident of Marsh Landing.

The identity of the deceased person is unknown at this time.

Officials believe the death is a result of an apparent suicide.
