Autopsy reveals cause of death of Albany woman determined to be hypothermia

ALBANY, Ga. – On January 19, 2026, officers responded to 2004 Stratford Drive (Tallulah Massey Library) around 10:36 a.m. in reference to a deceased woman. She was identified as Dawn Love, a 71-year-old white female.

An autopsy was conducted on January 20, 2026, and it was determined that her cause of death was hypothermia. No foul play is suspected in her death.

Investigators are currently attempting to locate her next of kin for notification. Anyone with information regarding her next of kin is asked to contact the Albany Police Department at 229-431-2100, Crime Stoppers at 229-436-TIPS, or submit a tip through the APD mobile app.
