Aspire Behavioral Health brings community together for suicide prevention awareness event in Albany

ALBANY, Ga. – September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, and a local event in Albany is focusing on the importance of mental health and community support.

Aspire Behavioral Health will host a free community discussion on suicide prevention this Wednesday, September 24 at the Aspire Clubhouse Theater, located at 321 William Junior Street.

The event will feature mental health professionals and advocates who will share resources, answer questions, and discuss how to recognize warning signs. Guests will also receive take-home materials designed to help them support friends, family, and neighbors.

Organizers say the goal is to break the stigma surrounding mental health, encourage open conversations, and remind people that every life matters. Light refreshments will be provided.
