Ashburn-Turner Co. Chamber of Commerce, Piggly Wiggly hosts $500 ‘Grocery Grab’ fundraiser

ASHBURN, Ga. – The Ashburn-Turner County Chamber of Commerce turned grocery shopping into a heartwarming celebration, bringing joy to one lucky community member.

The Ashburn-Turner County Chamber of Commerce orchestrated their ‘Grocery Grab’ event, graciously sponsored by the Ashburn Piggly Wiggly, offering a substantial $500 worth of groceries as the grand prize.

“So, today we are here at the Ashburn Piggly Wiggly. We just had a grocery grab fundraiser for the chamber of commerce. Our lucky winner got to run around the store and do a grocery grab. He got to get $500 worth of groceries in ten minutes. This is our first time doing this raffle. I think it was a lot of fun and a little different,” said Ashley Miller, Ashburn-Turner Co. Chamber of Commerce, Executive Director.

Earlier in the month of September, the Ashburn-Turner County Chamber conducted a raffle drawing at the Turner County High School homecoming event to select the recipient of the grocery grab prize. The fortunate winner of this prize was revealed to be Mr. Craig Matthews.

“The Piggly Wiggly is always a phenomenal community sponsor. They are so great to us. They give to community constantly. You can’t beat down home service like the Piggly Wiggly. Getting to know your neighbors and seeing those familiar faces day after day, I mean, you can’t beat it,” said Miller.
