Arrest made for an Armed Robbery in the 2200 block of Clark Ave

Wininger is in the Dougherty County Jail, and more charges are pending.

ALBANY, Ga. – Albany police say on July 7, 2023, the U.S. Marshall’s Office received information that a wanted suspect was in Worth County, Georgia.

21-year-old Grant Wininger was involved in an Armed Robbery in the 2200 block of Clark Avenue, where he assaulted a 61-year-old man by pulling a gun on him and allegedly taking his chain.

Police say Wininger was also involved in a shooting incident where he shot a male near the intersection of Leonard Avenue and Cone Street.

Wininger was charged with Armed Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Obstruction of Law Enforcement Officers, Possession of Firearm during certain crimes, and Probation Violation.

Wininger is currently in the Dougherty County Jail, and more charges are pending.
