Armed robbery investigation underway at Westside Grocery

ALBANY, Ga. – The Albany Police Department (APD) is investigating and asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects who were involved in an armed robbery investigation.

At 2:37 a.m. on Oct. 6, officers responded to 2314 W Gordon Ave., near Westside Grocery, after reports of an armed robbery.

Investigators say the victim was closing the business and walking to their vehicle with a box of money when a suspect approached, pistol-whipped them, and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police say the suspect was wearing face coverings, and investigators are still working to identify them.
