ALBANY, Ga. – Albany Police Chief Michael Persley explains the projects purpose is to help track those with developmental disabilities who go missing.

“…And, it took us a while to find the parents, but they would deal in the situation where this child was non-verbal. And, so, when you have those situations, you really don’t know. And, you know, cases like this is not necessarily the fault of the parent, but, you know, you don’t want to you know, you try to put all kind of measures in to protect your family. But, let’s go, you know, a little step further…” said Chief Michael Persley, Albany Police Department (APD).
