APD requesting the public’s assistance in helping to solve unsolved homicide cases

ALBANY, Ga. – From the Albany Police Department (APD) Facebook page:

Dear Albany Community,

In 2025, our city experienced 23 homicides, and while 13 of these cases have been cleared, 10 remain active. This represents a clearance rate of approximately 56.5%, and we need your help to bring justice to the victims and their families.

Law enforcement works tirelessly to investigate these crimes, but we know that members of the community may have seen or heard things that could be crucial to solving these cases. Even the smallest detail can make a big difference.

If you have any information—no matter how insignificant it may seem—please contact the Albany Police Department at 229-431-2100 or submit tips anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 229-436-TIPS or our APD App.

Your cooperation is vital in making Albany a safer place for everyone. Together, we can ensure that those responsible are held accountable.
