APD: Multiple arrests in 2400 Block of Leonard Ave.

ALBANY, Ga. – Around 2:10 pm on Thursday, Albany’s Criminal Investigative Bureau responded to a residence in the 2400 block of Leonard Avenue following a report of a fight.

Once in the area, several suspects fled on foot.

One of the suspects, 27-year-old Devonte Charnard Lane, was apprehended after a brief foot chase. It was revealed that lane was involved in a physical altercation with 23-year-old Tianna Adricia Baker.

Another suspect, 24-year-old Malquon Jamel Grier, attempted to flee on foot after discarding drugs but was captured shortly after. The Albany-Dougherty Special Investigative Unit executed a search warrant at the scene.

Lane was charged with misdemeanor obstruction, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of amphetamine, and possession of drug related objects. Additionally, he was wanted for an outstanding probation violation warrant.

Baker had active warrants for her arrest for failure to appear.

Grier was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of amphetamine, and possession of drug-related objects.

All three suspects were taken to the Dougherty County Jail.
