APD: Man rescued late Saturday from Flint River after Georgia Power Dam opens
ALBANY, Ga. – A 55-year-old man is recovering after being rescued from the Georgia Power Dam late Saturday night.
Albany Police Department (APD) says that a man and a woman were walking along the Flint River bank looking for artifacts. The dam then opened and the man was overcome by rising water.
He was rescued and transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for medical observation with no injuries.
