APD, family members, volunteers begin search party for missing man Eric “Waldo” Glaze

ALBANY, Ga. – Nearly a dozen people came together with investigators to map out the search for 60-year-old, Eric “Waldo” Glaze.

Among them were his sisters, Betty and Shirley.

“The family just needs closure. We know that God is in control and he knows where he is. But, we’re going to do everything we can with the help of the police department to try and find his body or find him,” said Betty Huff, Eric’s sister.

“It would mean a lot, a very, very lot to us if he is found. I mean, it would mend our hearts back together, it really would bring a lot of closure. We don’t need no more crying in the family. And, very strange that he went missing,” said Shirley Wright, Eric’s sister.

Eric had gone missing earlier this year after he had been hospitalized for a fall he suffered while working at a corner store.

He was last seen on the campus of Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital on May 30th.

Now six months later, his family and friends are hoping to put an end to this.

“And, very strange that he went missing. It’s been six months. It seems like six years, literally, you know? But, we just got to help keep the faith and keep the hope that we will eventually discover what is going on with him,” said Gloria Bridges, Family friend.

We got this map to get a good idea of where the the search party is looking for Eric.

But, more than anything, the family just wants one thing from this half-year long ordeal.

“We just want closure so that we can move on and take care of what we need to take care of, however we finally…” said Huff.

And, unfortunately we have not heard from the Albany Police Department (APD) at this time about any success in finding Eric Glaze.

But, investigators are encouraging anyone who might have an idea on where Glaze could be to call the Albany Police Department (APD) at (229) 431-2100.
