APD asking for the whereabouts of identified One Leaf shoplifting suspect

ALBANY, Ga. – On December 28, 2025, officers responded to One Leaf (1628 Clark Ave) in reference to a shoplifting. The suspect stole several alcoholic beverages while in possession of a firearm. When the store owner attempted to stop the suspect, an altercation occurred, and the owner was struck in the head with an object, causing severe bleeding. The suspect then fled the scene on a bicycle.

The suspect has been identified as Christopher M. Howard (23). Investigators are actively searching for Howard, and he is currently wanted for Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm during certain crimes, Burglary, and Theft by Shoplifting (Misdemeanor).
