Annual 'Calico Arts and Crafts Show' to be Held This Weekend
MOULTRIE, GA – From handmade arts and crafts, to food vendors galore, the Calico Arts and Crafts Show has excitement buzzing in Moultrie.
“Tell you what, this is a great juried handmade arts and crafts show. We have crafters from all over the southeast come in for our two day show, and a lot of economic impact for the region,” said Chip Blalock, Executive Director of the Calico Arts and Crafts Show.
Executive director Blalock tells me that the application process to include a handmade craft is a strict one.
“We have an application process where you have to turn in pictures showing that you make your craft. You know we don’t have any by sale, it’s all handmade,” said Blalock.
Craft show coordinator Olivia Griffin tells me that they’ll be an abundance of unique crafts available for everyone.
“We do offer a fine selection in several different categories ranging from leather to jewelry, to handmade pottery,” said Olivia Griffin, Coordinator of Calico Arts and Crafts Show.
The Calico Arts and Crafts Show also serves as a great opportunity to introduce artists into the community.
“I think it’s an awesome opportunity for artists in both local to Moultrie and surrounding areas just to have an opportunity to connect,” said Griffin.
The Calico Arts and Crafts Show will take place on Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm, and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm.
