Albany’s ward one clean sweep planning
Grab a broom over the next few Thursdays

ALBANY, GA – City of Albany Commissioner Jon Howard, who represents Ward One, will be joining crews on School Street, near the corner of Clark Avenue, at 1 p.m. as they continue Operation Clean Sweep.
City staff from multiple departments, as well as contractors, will set out around 8 a.m. Thursday morning to clean up the area from Cone Street to Turner Field Road and Broad Avenue to Clark Avenue in Ward One. Crews will focus on cleaning up debris, litter, trimming brush and more.
Last week, they cleaned Mobile Avenue to Radium Springs Road and Moultrie Road to Mitchell Avenue.
Staff will continue working in Ward One every Thursday for the next three Thursdays.
Below is a list of dates and locations where Operation Clean Sweep will be.
- Zone Two, March 17: Cone Street to Turner Field Road and Broad Avenue to Clark Avenue.
- Zone Three, March 24: Cromartie Beach Drive to Owens Avenue and Maple Street to Turner Field Road.
- Zone Four, March 31: Nona Drive to Old Blaylock Lane and Clark Avenue to Oglethorpe Boulevard.
