Albany’s elected officials swearing in
ALBANY, Ga. – Earlier this week, the City of Albany held a significant organizational meeting, marking the swearing-in ceremony for recently elected officials.
Following the city election held on November 7th of last year, voters selected their representatives for crucial positions, including the mayor of the city and commissioners across various wards.
Kermit Bo Dorough Junior, took the oath to become the elected mayor of the City of Albany. Joining him in this responsibility are commissioners representing distinct wards of the city — Jon Howard was elected as the commissioner of Ward 1, Chad Warbington will serve as the commissioner of Ward 4, and Demetrius Young steps in as the elected commissioner for Ward 6.
This ceremony signifies a pivotal moment for Albany as these elected officials assume their roles, shouldering the responsibility to serve their respective wards and contribute to the betterment of their community.
We look forward to witnessing their dedication and commitment towards shaping a prosperous future for the Good Life City.
