Albany Ward 2 City Commissioner Jalen Johnson resigns; accepts federal appointment in President Trump’s administration

ALBANY, Ga. – In Tuesday evening’s regular meeting of the Albany City Commission, Ward 2 City Commissioner Jalen Johnson announced his resignation.

Johnson announced he has accepted a federal appointment in President Trump’s administration and looks forward to serving the residents of Albany in this new role.

He is the youngest City Commissioner ever elected to serve, since 2021.
