Albany Technical College’s Early Childhood Care and Education Foundation Setters hold toy drive

ALBANY, Ga. – Albany Technical College hosts a toy drive to bring holiday cheer to local children in the spirit of giving.

The ATC Early Childhood Care and Education Foundation Setters are accepting donations for the holiday season.

This initiative aims to bring joy to less fortunate children in the community, ensuring that they experience the magic of the holidays.

Arkimberly Robinson, Early Childhood Care & Education Department Chair at Albany Tech expands more on this initiative.

“We are accepting toys, as well as books to donate to the Liberty House or another organization that has children. We came up with an initiative because we have a department club called Foundation Setters. Part of our Foundation Setters goal is to give back to the community and make sure that we’re doing things for children and advocating for children and families within the community,” said Arkimberly Robinson, Early Childhood Care & Education Department Chair.

“We want to be able to bring this sense of joy to the children. And, we want to spread literacy around the community and just be a gift of the people and a blessing. We donate books all year round. We have an ongoing book drive that we do year round. We do other community services as well. We read to schools within the community. We feed the homeless and and we look for different other community projects that we can do with our students just to give them a chance to do community service,” she said.
