Albany Technical College hosts Georgia Match Admit Day providing college admissions for high school seniors and prospective students

ALBANY, Ga. – Albany Technical College (ATC) is opening new doors for local high school students, helping them take the next step into higher education.

Albany tech hosted the Georgia Match Admit Day event, giving high school seniors and other students a chance to explore college options.

Part of the statewide Georgia Match Program, the initiative – led by Governor Brian Kemp and supported by the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) and the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) – matches students with colleges based on their academic standing.

At the event, students could receive on-the-spot college admissions with waived application fees, get Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) assistance, and for Albany Tech’s modern facilities.

The event was also open to adult education graduates, parents, and school counselors looking to support students in their college journey.

Attendees also had the chance to connect with professionals for advice on academic programs and career paths.

As part of the larger statewide Georgia Match initiative, more events like this are expected across the state in Fall 2025.
