Albany Technical College explores the future of technology

ALBANY, Ga. – Albany Technical College talks all things tech and discuss the vastly evolving future of technology.

In recognition of technology week, Albany Technical College’s Computer Information Systems program hosted a tech talk forum.

The tech talk delves into the realm of communication technology and digital platforms, shedding light on key topics such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI), networking, and cybersecurity.

“Cloud storage, from business apps, to infrastructure, to support. They’re all very important in making modernization happen. If we didn’t modernize, as Mr. Youndale said earlier, we would probably still be on our old phones, we would not see a cell phone. We would not see applications like Twitter and all those other apps that you guys use everyday,” said Jackie Mitchell, Director, Business Management Division, Headquarters, Marine Corps Logistics Base Command.

“So, what is the relationship of this digital transformation, what it really should require in order for it to be successful? You heard Mr. Youndale talk about developers, critical skill set. Cyber security, critical skill set. You have heard about network engineers; you have heard about data warehouses and cloud administration. These are critical relationship that are needed to be maintained to sustain over the life of any kind of technology, in order to under to understand these digital transformation services,” said Mitchell.
