ALBANY, Ga. – Albany Technical College earns Cognia accreditation and expands opportunities to both young and adult learners.
Albany Technical College has been granted the Certificate of Accreditation by the Cognia Global Commission to recognize its commitment to educational excellence and continuous improvement.
“We have a tremendous team here at Albany Tech whose dedicated professionals and our motto is, “Always continuous improvement.” So, particular initiative with Cognia accreditation is another example and testament of always continuing to improve. We want to get better. We want to provide opportunities to the citizens of southwest Georgia,” said Dr. Emmett Griswold, President, ATC.
President Dr. Emmett Griswold talks about offering highs school diplomas as well as other technical certificates.
“What this accreditation allows us to do; again, it allows us those individuals who may have withdrawn from high school between the ages of sixteen and twenty-one, to come to use and not only get a technical education but also a high school diploma or a high school equivalent, if that’s their needs or desires. And then those individuals who are twenty-one years old or older, they can have the same opportunity,” said Dr. Emmett Griswold, President, ATC.
Albany Tech offers a number of opportunities to help transition students into the workforce – not just those who are unemployed, but those who are looking to advance in their careers and anyone looking to gain or upscale their abilities for career advancement.
Now officially accredited, Albany Technical College will continue to use Cognia’s resources and services to uphold the standard of educational excellence and community service.
