Albany Recreation and Parks Dept. & city leaders discuss East Albany’s Bill Miller Community Center renovation project
ALBANY, Ga. – Staying in the Good Life City, Albany leaders met to discuss renovations of the Bill Miller Community Center.
The 3 leaders heading this meeting were Recreation Director Steven Belk, Mayor Bo Dorough, and Commissioner John Howard.
Their hopeful of a partnership with Morningside Elementary due to how close the center is to the school.
“In the evening, we utilize the gym to serve the young men and women of the after-school program as well as adults with the adult basketball league. So, we have a good roadmap, we’re just simply trying to make sure we don’t reinvent the wheel here. So, to make the process work, we try to make sure we take full advantage of it,” said Steven Belk, Recreation Dept. Director, City of Albany.
